With ON, the founding members of Cora have designed an interdisciplinary event format that functions as a collaborative hub and platform for contextualizing contemporary music, art, and design. The essence lies in the transformation of space and the implementation of specific brand values in the tailor-made design.

In a pilot project, initiated in collaboration with Daniel Kurjakovic, the curator of programs of the Kunstmuseum Basel, the intervention took place in the new building of the Kunstmuseum Basel, the NEUBAU. The space was transformed, creating ON, and showcased for the first time this transformative concept. By carefully selecting each collaborator for the project, ON demonstrated how to harness the power of co-creation and transdisciplinary thinking, which unfolded transformative potential not only for public perception but also within the institution itself.

The theme of dematerialization and fragmentation of our civilization was the central topic underpinning all decisions. This offered the audience a meaningful approach to critically question not only themes of Bourdieu's cultural capital and social distinction but also the increasing self-profiling and staging through the digital twin within social media. Bourdieu's concept of memory and identity is particularly relevant here: he argued that photography and other reproducible media shape our individual and collective memories and identities. The endless reproduction of images can influence how we remember events and see ourselves, especially as digital platforms allow for constant self-representation and curation of personal narratives.

In this context, ON as an artistic and strategic intervention was only the starting point for a long-term mission to offer the general public a framework for experiencing, reflecting on, and discussing important issues of our time. These include the effects of digitalization on culture and identity, encouraging visitors to think about how digital technology is changing the way we create and perceive art, interact with one another, and how art as a medium can pave the way to a more sustainable future.
